Choke manifold and kill manifold are important well control equipment in balancing pressure in near-balanced drilling wells during petroleum exploration. Choke manifold controls the casing pressure and maintains the balance inside the well, the soft closing of the well is realized by relieving pressure through the choke valve, through which the casing pressure can directly blow out in order to protect the well.
Choke manifold consists of throttle valve, gate valve, pipeline, pipe fitting, and pressure gauge, etc.
When it is pressurized inside the well, the pressure inside the pipe can be controlled by adjusting the opening and closing of the throttle valve (manual adjustable, hydraulic, and stationary) on the choke manifold to release the liquid in the well. When the casing burst pressure exceeding certain differential pressure, it can open flow directly by the gate valve.
There are five pressure grades for the choke manifold made in our company: 14MPa, 21MPa, 35MPa, 70MPa, 105MPa; we can design and manufacture according to customers’ requirement.
